Collahuasi Ellipse 9

COLLAHUASI is a Chilean company dedicated to copper extraction and copper concentrate production. They are within the 6 top copper concentrate producers in the world. They use Ellipse as their current ERP and EAM solution After contracting SUMMA in 2016 to support them with all the functional, technical and day to day activities involved in the Ellipse 6 to Ellipse 8 upgrade project, COLLAHUASI starts (given the results and quality of the services provided by SUMMA in this project) using SUMMA for other scopes of work including system support and some limited number of developments. As COLLAHUASI give extremely high importance to their Risk Cycle Management (due to the nature of their operation and impact on environment and communities) they identified in 2017 the need to develop some applications to support these high-level business requirements and integrate them with Ellipse Asset and Work Management modules. Given the good results and achievements within the initial upgrade and minor developments projects, SUMMA was awarded the contract to develop above Risk Cycle Management applications that have high visibility at all levels of COLLAHUASI organization. These applications are already in use and fully integrated and embedded into Ellipse at such levels of satisfaction and usage that: • COLLAHUASI have requested Hitachi to incorporate them into Core Ellipse functionality and support • SUMMA is currently developing integration services and APIs to connect these applications with mobile apps developed by third parties and in use by COLLAHUASI
